  1. Usually, the either extract the tooth with the dead nerve or they stimulate it repeatedly to bring life back to it by jabbing it with a dental drill.  This process is arguably the most painful dental procedure, as they cannot use Novocaine or general anesthesia as this would keep them from seeing when the nerve has come back to life.

  2. give you a root canal. drill a hole to the root and pull out the nerve

  3. If your nerve is dying, there is nothing that can be done to reverse the process. There are two options. Have a root canal treatment, to remove the nerve and thus stop the pain and save your tooth(usually the best option), or have the tooth extracted(removed).

Some might think that removing the tooth is the easier option, but only for the short term. If you don't replace the missing tooth, it can cause your other teeth to shift and cause problems with your bite down the road.

It is best to try to save the tooth by doing a root canal treatment.Anesthetic is used and the procedure is not as a previous poster had explained. Modern dentistry has come a very long way and is a far cry from the torture that was described in a previous post.

  4. i think its cut but I'm not absolutely sure
