What does a doctor do when they get sick?

Question

I mean if they have a cold or something small.

Do they have to take time off because of seeing patients who are already sick and could be susceptible to catching a cold?

Yeah so are there any rules? And if not, what do doctors do?

(I'm interested because 1. I've never seen a doctor with a cold, and 2. I have a slight germ-fear.)

They take 1 aspirin and drink plenty of fluids

They go to another doctor! I guess...Or they could treat themselves. If they have something as little as a cold, I'm sure the hospital will still let them work.
