What does a dream about being with someone you used to love mean?

We were holding hands and I was very happy, but then the supermarket people misplaced my things and I had to look for them.

The being happy and holding hands part of your dream probably means that you still have feelings for or love this person. The supermarket/lost groceries can mean a number of things. For one, it could mean that you lost something of value. That "something of value" may be the bond you used to share with this person. For example, maybe you and this person were really close at one point in time, but somehow, the relationship deteriorated. And now, you're trying to reclaim something you once had, i.e. "searching" for your "groceries". Or, it could mean nothing at all....maybe you did lose your groceries. I lost mine a few months ago after accidentally swapping carts with a random stranger. It was weird too, because we bought the same exact products...maybe he was my soul mate.

Anyways...I am not a psychology major, but I think you should try talking to this person again. Not necessarily to be in a relationship, but maybe just to be friends. When i was quite young,i had a dream about a dark haired tanned beautiful brown eyed young girl. We fell in love in my dream,i was gutted when i woke up. It now happens to be that my girlfriend of 1 year now has brown hair and eyes dark skin abd beautiful.
