Also, do the people who put those yellow numbers on blood marks at crime scenes the same people who see the gory bodies?

They collect and analyze fingerprints.  Amazon has a whole book about it as a career, if you are really interested.

The markers you see at crime scenes are used to mark other things as well - like bullet casings - and they are placed by the crime scene investigators.  I expect all of these people sometimes see the bodies, but probably not every body at every crime scene.

You sound sort of chipper about the whole business ... keep in mind that seeing, touching, and smelling dead and dismembered bodies isn't all that enjoyable.
