What does a freshman do in basketball tryouts?

What does the coach ask the players to do in basketball tryouts?

What can i work on to improve my game so i can make the team?

If i am trying out for a shooting guard or point guard, is it required for me to be able to make 3 pointers efficiently?

What drills are done in the tryouts?

i dont know about all that stuff cuz im going to be a freshman too but i do know as a point guard tryin out for varsity, shooting 3's is definetly a necessity!!! also make sure your body language is eager and ready to learn. BODY LANGUAGE is a keyy!!!

Be prepared, seriously, who knows what the coach is gonna make you do?. Just stay focus mentally and try to not make any mistake during tryout.

You should practice with your dribble. Try dribbling around chairs and such. Try dribbling with your left hand and dribbling behind the back, between the legs, etc. Just try everything you can think of to do with a baskeball. Make sure you practice shooting so you can hit shots.
