  1. The fullback position in both North American leagues is essentially the same. Their primary purpose is for short yardage generally between the tackles; dive, off tackle and trap. Their secondary responsibility is to block on wider plays, outside the tackles, as well as more complex play arrangements in the dive, OT and trap to the half-back. Usually the full back's primary task is to block not carry the ball.

  2. well it comes down to your athletiscm and size like if you said how tall and heavy you are i could be a little bit more help

  3. Most fullbacks in canadian football are used primarily as blocking backs, and to carry the ball in short yardage situations.

This has evolved from the fifties and sixties when they were the main ball carriers.

It was felt that because the defence is a yard off the line of scrimmage, that a faster scat/halfback would hit full stride more quickly

  4. their the blocking back they do what is needed yet get no glory most of them have a dipendible but do get much recogintion

  5. a blocking back mainly

  6. he rushes up the center

  7. Full backs are almost just like running backs. They will get handoffs in situations were you just need a couple yards for a first down. They dont get that many handoffs though, they mostly just block for the running back, they line up in front of them and are lead blockers. They will aslo occasionaly go out for a pass.

Full backs used to be primary running backs in canadian football, but now running backs are.

so if you want to be the power runner for the team (and if youre pretty big) then be a full back

if you just want to be able to run (if youre fast) then be a running back instead
