  1. The nurse would have to have a BS or BA with sufficient coursework to take the MCAT entrance exam for medical school, then go to medical school for four years, take initial board exams, then begin residency in a teaching hospital.  Surgeon residencies run 5+ years, and then the person can be a surgeon in private practice.

  2. You have to become a licensed MD.  Then you have to be an intern, and then a resident.

You might be exempted from a couple of classes, but basically your requirements will be the same as anybody else.

  3. Do you mean a surgeon, which requires a medical degree and specialist training?

    Or

A surgical care practioner, which takes two years training for nurses. See here: http://www.rcseng.ac.uk/career/nonmed/be...

  4. Exactly the same course any other would be doctor needs. A degree in medicine and then hospital training for about 10 years.
