What does a healthcare background check for school look for?

I am currently a student studying to become a Medical Assistant. I recently found out that I have some pending charges. I have hired an attorney but since the case is so old they are having a hard time finding the right person to speak with. I no longer live in that state and haven't for 7 years, but I am concerned that it may show up on my background check. I also know that I have a non extraditable warrant for failure to appear. I need to have the bc check done online by the 21st of this month. If you know what can happen please let me know. I have come this far and I don't want anything to ruin my chance of becoming a Medical Assistant. Thank you for any help...serious answers please!!!

  1. I can't tell you what is in a medical background check, but I can tell you generally what is in a background check:

    1. What is in Google - Google yourself to find out

    2. Credit Reports - You can get a free credit report on yourself once a year.  see http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/fr...

    3. Criminal and Dirver's License reports - you can check with your local law enforcement for this (of course if there is an outstanding warrant, they may arrest you) - Some states will allow you to do this on yourself (only) online also.

You can check with a paid online investigative service.
