A resort in the caribbean states that a "three-night deposit is required to secure reservations and is non-refundable within 30 days of arrival. "

Does that mean that there is a 3 night minimum stay? Or does it mean that if we stay 2 nights, then the 3rd night will be credited back to us?

  1. I believe they mean that it is a 3-night miminum stay and if you do not stay the 3rd day, then you lose the deposit for that day.

  2. You'll have to call or email them to clarify. It could mean either but I would take it as a three night minimum stay, once you've paid it would be unlikely they would credit you anything.

Be careful & email them to get it in writing before you pay anything. Good luck!

  3. It means they want three nights' deposit.  It doesn't matter if you stay two nights, non-refundable means they keep all the money.

  4. It's a three night minimun stay. You have to pay for 3 nights. Always call the resort directly to see if they will reserve for two nights and you pay for only 2 nights if that's what you need.

If it's slow time for them, they may just do this.

    Good Luck)
