What does a hotel reservation associate do?

They sit at a desk behind a computer and take customers orders for rooms.  They ensure rate structure and room inventories for the accomodating hotel.  They SELL!!!  Their main job is to book as many rooms at the highest price possible.

The reservationist answers the phone in a polite tone of voice and asks the prospective guest questions about their trip.  Like what's bringing them to the area in order to get an idea of what they may need to be accomodated with and so on.
