  1. klinikreferent comes out as: clinic referee.

Probable translation to this is: clinic/hospital/medical arbitrator.  If U have medical treatment and / or bill problems this person is supposed to help iron out differences to the

    satisfaction of both parties

  2. In fact, a "Klinikreferent" (also called Pharma- Berater or Pharma- Referent) is an agent working for a pharmaceutical company.

They go to hospitals or doctors and present ( I d rather say: promote) new drugs or make special offers etc. Their aim is to convince the doctors to prescribe the drugs of their company and to inform them about newly developped medications.

In recent years, there were quite a few scandals related to this profession as pharmaceutical companies were bribing doctors to encourage them to prescribe their drugs (gifts, free vacation, special payments for doctors who prescribe more drugs of that particular company).
