It depends on the job.  However, those jobs are usually relegated to the rookies and newbies in the company.  If you are new at the company, expect the "junk" jobs that nobody else wants.  You're the newest one in the building, so you get the bottom floor of the outhouse for a while.  After you've paid your dues by cleaning the doorknobs you will get your chance to move up to the next levels until you reach your own level of incompetence.
