  1. Monitors the lunchroom hence the name lunchroom monitor!

  2. Open milk, make sure kids are sitting, not too loud, eat in the allotted time... you're just babysitting. :)

  3. Supervise the lunches for the children and watch them outside when playing much responsibility

  4. They help kids open up their milk carton (some kids have special needs and cant do it, or, they are too young), they get napkins and plastic utinsils for kids when they raise their hand (because they are not allowed to move from their seat) and they stop food fights!  Also, they stop any fighting they may go on between two tables a.k.a. boys saying stuff to girls to flirt with them or whatever.  Believe me, I know.  I have been one before.  Oh, an wear ear plugs if you have them!  Just kidding!

  5. Depends on the monitor.  I remember when I was in school...the lunchroom monitors spent more time talking to each other than monitoring anything.

  6. monitor the kids K through 5th grade during lunch time, clean tables, return lunch trays, pick up lunch trash and dispose of it into the trash.  remind kids to be quiet...  make sure they don't throw food...  help with seating... clean up after wards...  you get the idea...

  7. Annoy the c**p out of my son, mostly.

  8. Watch that the children don't get rowdy and probably hand out hall passes for the bathroom, etc.
