What does a manager of a restaurant do everyday?

i need to know what they do on a day to day basis. how much education they need to be one? how much money do they make?

  3. Restaurant managers are busy busy busy.

    Scheduling, maintainance, supervision of waiters, bartenders, bussers, etc.Financial goals, budget, the list is long.

    Regarding education, you can attend hotel and restaurant management programs. they're helpful. you can also start on the ground floor and work your way up.

    Compensation depends of what sort of restaurant. (fast food, fine dining, family restaurant, ethnic)

    usually there are bonuses involved for managers who boost profit.

  4. work hard and always busy... they can make alot if the place is a fine dinning and listed on the 5 star restraurant... They work long hours and have to manage the cooks, chefs, and the wait staff.  They have to talk and consult with food service companies and Health inspectors and have countless talks with food critics and advertisment agencies.   U can take classes and /or start at the bottom of the list and work your way to manager, or attend a school for hotel/rest/managemnt

    associates or bach or maybe a master's in cullinary arts.. all up to the person...
