I just saw a man on BBC news who had his job title as 'Explorer' but I didn't think explorers existed anymore, after all there's not exactly much uncharted land left is there (heart of the amazon?)?

So it got me wondering what exactly does the modern day explorer do that grants him explorer status?

  1. Explores.

  2. Exploration today still goes on in the oceans, for one thing.

But, there are places even in the Rocky Mountains, or the Brasilian Jungles where no explorer has ever investigated.

There are also explorers who go into underground caverns, or who dig for clues of the past, like archeologists.

Some people are still looking for old pirate ships with possible gold and other artifacts that were sunk hundreds of years ago.

Some peopl are still looking for the holly graille.  I mean explorers can be after about anything of interest, even old scrolls, or lost books, coins, whatever.

People used to get metal detectors, and explore playgrounds or parks for lost rings, or silver, gold, ect.

Happy Exploring, even if it's in a library for a good book to read.

  3. wear super cool explorer cloths!!!!!

  4. Find ways to make us pay more taxes. Take less home from our paychecks. And last but not least find more ways to confuse us.
