Like, if you lived in a palace or a mansion or something, and the place is pretty well guarded as it is...? How would a bodyguard be of extra help ? Or would he/she be of any extra help? I can understand if there were ill-feelings toward the person being guarded, and the other guards can't be trusted. But other than that, what benefits does a bodyguard bring to the table?

And does he get days off? Where would he sleep? About how much would he get paid? Would he really have to be EVERYWHERE the guarded person is, or are there limits to that?

Thanks in advance. :)

  1. A personal guard travels with the person they work for.  A Security guard remains at a specific post, or place.  The security guards main job isnt to protect, its to watch or observe, and report illegal activities.  Armed guards can respond to threats of harm, using deadly force, but their main job is the same as a security guard.  A personal bodyguard agress not only to protect, and defend using deadly force when attacked, they put themself in harms way to save the life of those they serve.
