What does a poem being written in "prose format" mean?

I know next to nothing about proper ways of writing poems, thanks for your answers!

It means essentially that you wrote it as a paragraph instead of in poetic lines.

Read some of the poems on the Poetry site and you will see what I mean.

I think her name was sadie

We'd met at the pub

And eaten some grub

And shared a few beers all the while

So when we returned to her small abode

I found her quite spread eagle

This did not alarm me

Yet did disarm me

For she looked much like a beagle
