What does a praying mantis eat on a day to day basis ? Not just after a sweet s*x session.?

What do praying mantis' eat? I know they females eat the male after mating and that is not that answer I'm looking for. I caught an albino praying mantis in my backyard yesterday and need to know what to try and feed it.

He is not an albino...They change colors to fit their surroundings.  You need to put him back in the garden.  He will eat all sorts of bugs, but you will kill him by keeping him in captivity.  If you put him back you may get an egg sack that will hatch next spring.

He captures and eats lots and lots of bugs.  They're my favorite insect and you should set it free, but if you insist on keeping the poor guy, try buying a bag of small live feeder crickets from a pet store (that's what people feed their pet lizards) and put them with the mantis in a dry aquarium and watch the fun.
