What does a program speaker mean?

In Tender to quote, the client have asked for program speaker and shown an amplifier 350 watts/4 ohms? What does this mean in spekear?

Answer 1

"program" describes the content of the sound emminating from the speaker.   It does not describe any physical aspect of the speaker.

Contrast this with, "monitor" speaker or "PA" speaker.  Both adjectives describe the content, not the physical aspects of the speaker, although some types of physical attributes may be implied, to those who are experts in the broadcast/audio  industry.

"Program", is the continuous on-the-air audio heard from this speaker.  

Any high-fidelity speaker system (of woofer, mid-range, and tweeter) capable of >350 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms will be sufficient to carry the program audio.
