I'm a 13 year old girl and I got a vision test for the upcoming school year.

well, my current glasses are "250" and now my new vision thinger is "350"

now see the thing is, i have no idea what these mean. at all. the only thing about vision i've heard of is that 20/20 is perfect. so yeah. id like someone to tell me how bad my vision is.

  1. There is probably a - sign in front of your number...so it would be - 3.50...

That is just your nearsighted correction that has increased.

The power of the lenses needed are measured that way...it is 3 .5 diopters...which is just a unit of measurement for the power needed to correct your visual problem. It isn't the same as the 20/20 measurement, those are two different things.

20/20 doesn't mean perfect vision, that is normal vision , it is possible to have better than 20/20

You most likely have 20/20 or better with your glasses on, so that number is nothing to worry about.

  2. sounds like you have some definite vision problems going  on
