I do not know where you got your quote from but the Celebrity cruise line has a ship named the Millennium and this past July the ship had a mechanical problem which caused it to suspend a cruise and cancel some others.  Here's a part of the news story:

" An unsuccessful effort to repair cruise ship Millennium's damaged propellers while docked at Rome's port of Civitavecchia with a full load of passengers growing more unhappy by the day led to a belated decision to cancel the rest of the cruise and seek a drydock.

That's is probably what your quote refers to.
