-be careful, I've read quite a few negative feedbacks on ebay to do with so called "refurbished" electronics.

It just means that the item was returned and now it has been re manufactured to basically new status. I bought a refurbished ipod 3g for much less and there's nothing used i can tell about it!

It's used, sent back to the factory, and fixed, if needed, cleaned, and tested (minimally) before being sold at a reduced price.

To make clean, bright, or fresh again; renovate.

it means it was once used by someone else and then the company sent it back for repairs/renovations. now they give to you to use, so its new to you but old to some one else.. one mans trash is another ones treasure
