  1. Mexican rice and refried beans are served with most meals. Along with a side of flour  or corn tortillas. Tacos, enchiladas, chili verde , chicken mole, flautas, Fajitas, carne asada, any fried meat with a chile sauce etc. and  Banuelos and Flan are typical deserts.

  2. fajitas, nachos, chilli con carne, spicy potato wedges, salads with mango and spiced chicken / fish, tacos, enchiladas, chimichanga, tropical fruits, tequila based drinks!

  3. fajitas are tasty

  4. baked enchilada

    chicken mole

    tacos

    nachos

    tortilla soup

idk but i have had experience

  5. Probably something such as black bean stew, rice and chicken or pork.

  6. LOL

My son's best friend is Mexican. (they barely speak English)

When he stayed the night this weekend, they had pizza.

(Maybe you should re-word your question)

  7. If it's tripas...it's intestines.

A typical dinner could consist of chicken. Maybe enchiladas.

You could shread the chicken and make enchiladas with sour cream sauce.

Make homemade Spanish rice by adding tomato sauce or paste to white or brown rice. Season with chili powder and cumin. Dessert could be Flan. A mexican dinner would not be complete with out homemade tortillas and chili. Chili being tomatoes sauted with peppers and onions.

  8. Dependants.

    (jk)

  9. yeah i say a typical mexican dinner would have rice beans and some tortillas with fajitas yummmmy

  10. i have no idea what tereso is, but I am Mexican American so I can tell you what we eat

Rice, Beans, and flour tortillas are pretty much in every meal.

We make Tacos, Flautas, Gorditas, Chile Con Queso,  Enchiladas.    We also like frying just about anything: pork chops, bisteak.    you got to have your salsa with EVERYTHING!

  11. I don't come from a Very typical mexican family, but most of the time my mom made things like:

    enchiladas

    pastel de pollo/pastel azteca

    carne en salsa (red sauce)*

empanadas (though not so often because they're a bit time consuming)

    sopes

    etcetera

And whenever I went to visit a friend whose family is super Yucatecan there were always vaporcitos at her house.

Some popular mexican "fast food" is roasted whole chicken seasoned with anatto/annatto or achiote paste, which I always made tacos from (with some refried black beans, pickled red onion and some green, hot, yucatecan sauce).

Like several people have mentiones above me, it depends on what part of Mexico you're in. For example, it's not very common to find burritos where I come from (south-east mexico -Q. Roo-), but in the north (Monterrey for example) they're quite common. As it's not as common to find, I suppose, tikinxic fish in Monterrey as it is to find it in Yucatan or Quintana Roo.

*I have a recipe for this carne en salsa here: http://www.grouprecipes.com/28427/carne-...

    hope it works

And as for desserts...well, at restaurants you can usually find Flan everywhere you go. Those are also known as Creme caramel and other names, because they're not exclusively Mexican (they were invented in many countries).

    But they're good

  12. If it's Chorizo you are talking about - it's a Mexican type of sausage.

My husband likes it, and he's not Mexican. lol =)

  13. It depends on where they live.  Even within Mexico, different regions have different typical cuisines.

  14. Taco's And Burrito's Hahaha

  15. If you could describe the "tereso" she made, it might help to identify it.

And Mexican food varies depending on where you are.  Some places have more of an emphasis on chicken and meat; others that are on or near the sea serve up wonderful fresh fish dishes.  I personally love beans, rice, cheese and a few corn tortillas (comfort food on a winter day).  Because beans and rice are easy to store, as well as corn products, those are usually basic stock and offer meatless protein and won't cost a lot.  But Mexican food can have a lot of incredible sauces from piquant to sweet, moles or fruity.  It can be real spicy or not.  There's just such a wide variety of Mexican food, you'd need to look at the recipes to figure out what you can and want to do--I find some of the recipes just too involved and I'd have to buy too many ingredients (since I don't keep them onhand).  Some recipes however are simplier and someone like me (I can cook but don't want to spend all day just chopping and cooking) can make them and impress everyone.
