  1. according to various world mythology  vampires and similar creatues or creatures of the same variety but go under different names have been known to not be able to cross running water, have been known to be stalled out by a compulsion to count small things (grains of sand, rice, and most notably mustard seeds) that are scattered before them until the sun rises. whether the sun kills weakens or just simply burns them easier than a normal human is up for debate but in mythology and folklore the common consequence of a vampire in the sunlight is death. another way to keep a vampire at bay which is not speifically the use of a crucifix but any object that the person fending off the vampire holds great faith in ( the star of david, the star and crescent moon, a crucifix, a pentagram) its all dependant on the strength of faith that the person wields the symbol with, but historically european folklore depicts the crucifix as the foremost tool for such a feat. also according to european folklore the use of garlic has been reported but that belief stems from an earlier belief that garlic will suck the evil out of a room if one piece of a clove is put in all four corners of the room and by morning the room shall be purified so the theory of vampires bein g repelled by garlic is just a deviation of that belief

  6. Vampires don't run...they float.

    But probably Buffy.

and what the frick kinda question is that?

  7. Vampires in the real world don't burst into flame at the sight of the dawn approaching and they don't shimmer in the sun as told by Stephanie Mayer. Vampires are just like the rest of us except they cant be in the sun for very long without getting sun poisoning, because of their fair skin complexion. Vampires don't burn if they touch a cross, or shrink away if they smell garlic. And what human could live though a wooden stake driven thought their chest. I think you would also run from the person who had a stake in their hands if you knew his/her intent.

    Hope this helps!

  8. Garlic and crosses.

  9. OK, first off, they don't run form the sun. If they do in it they basically just get a really bad sunburn. There has been no case where one have burst into flames or turned to ash. Secondly, vampires can dies from the some things humans can, stabbings, being shot, getting sick etc. And of course they are going to die with a wooden stake in there heart, what living creature can? But depending on how old the vampire is depends on how easily they get hurt. If they're a new born they are more vulnerable apposed to one that hundreds of years old.

Oh, but they get like giant holes in them if you just stab them with a stake anywhere.

And some vampires do flat line, but for the older ones they are normally repairing themselves during this time.

  10. He's not running, he's jogging.

  11. A werewolf
