Against my better judgement, i hooked up with a guy that i heard "gets around" i've known him for awhile and he is really nice. i remember him telling me a few years ago that he thought he had herpes though. he was pretty worried. A couple of days later, he told me it was just a scare.but he has told me since that he gets regular check ups and uses protection. Obviously i gave him the benefit of the doubt. i didnt notice any bumps or swelling around his pen*s last night [that could have been because it was dark though.]so i performed oral s*x. i dont know if it makes a difference, but he isnt circumsized.. Could that have hidden it? anyways, i now i have a somewhat painful sore on my lip. it feels like a zit and it isnt open or anything. it looks like a cold sore. kind of.. is it common to get cold sores after oral? I have no idea. If anyone has information, please answer.

  1. Hmm it can be just a coldsore...did he have any bumps on his p***s? No if he is circumsized or not that won't hide it so if he had sores or his p***s even if he didn't because herpes can be passed on at any time and no its not common to get coldsores after oral you need to go check it out because it can be herpes early stages of herpes are clear bumps and they they turn white then they turn into red blisters that leak with puss and blood so just go to the doctor and find out what it can be if it is oral herpes you need to learn a lot about herpes oral herpes is not only on the mouth you can also get facial outbreaks all over the face and you can give it to someone if you have a sore on your lip at the time of kissing someone or through oral s*x gudd luck

  2. It usually take two to three days from the time of infection for a herpes lesion to occur.   With that said, this sounds like it could be herpes.

You should know that herpes can be spread even when no symptoms are present, or when an outbreak is just beginning, so looking at his p***s won't do you much good.

But most people (50% to 80%) have oral herpes.  It's most often caught in childhood from kissing relatives.  It is not an STD, and is so incredibly common that most people don't worry about it at all.

Don't kiss anyone when you have a cold sore, and certainly don't give anyone oral s*x when you have a cold sore, or you might spread the herpes to them.  But aside from that, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I've put a link to my fave herpes website below.  It has quite a bit of easy-to-read information about oral herpes (and genital herpes).

    Good luck.
