What does a vision of: Sph -1.00, Cyl -.50, Axis 90 roughly convert to in terms of like 20/20 or 20/40?

  1. 20/48, there is your answer. only eye proffessionals can tell you how to work it out!


  2. Your visual acuity ( 20/20 value) is a complete different measurement from the prescription you need.

    It is impossible to tell what your uncorrected visual acuity would be just from seeing the prescription.

    You can only find that out from the Dr. who did the exam. It would be in his files.

  3. There's no exact conversion, or even a reliable rough one.

    Assuming a best corrected acuity of 20/18, average pupil size, normal eye lid aperture...

    Somewhere between 20/40 and 20/60.

    But those assumptions could be way off, and then so would the estimate be.

    But your unaided vision will be on file from your last examination, should you ask for it.
