Question:

What does a white ladybug mean?

My mom's friend found a white ladybug and she wants to know if it means that she has good luck.

  1. It probably just molted from the pupa to the adult stage. The cuticle is still soft and white. After a few hours, the cuticle will get hard and it will look just like a normal ladybug.


  2. I've never heard of that idea before, I don't think the white ones are specifically considered lucky?

    There are a ton of different types and colors of ladybugs besides the standard 'red with black spots' ones. There are at least a couple types I know of that are white or whitish colored. I'd guess she just found a white one that doesn't live in your area much.
