usually nothing but if it is the first time this has happened to you, you might go get it checked out

has it been a long time since you last cleaned them?

if this is something new and you clean them often you should have them looked at, just go to a clinic or something

ever try ear candles? they clean your ears out pretty well

Nothing really just that is the color of ear wax.  Sometimes when an infection occurs in the ear canal, the ear will produce a darker color brown/black color, depending on the type and length of the infection.  You should have your ears professionally cleaned and/or ear candled at least twice a year in order to ensure that no persistent infection takes root.
