  1. well i am not sure what you are asking, but Tae= feet, kwon=hands, Do=inner energy, also known as chi..Hope this helps!

  3. Being a third degree black belt, I have never heard the term used by any instuctors and it is not in any of the required terminology for any belt.

    But Alpha does mean 'the beginning' and is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. Depending on the school I guess it could refer to a beginner? Or in the case of 'Alpha male' in a group of wolves the leader, it could be an instructor?

    After a google search, I found it is also the name of a Tae Kwon-Do school.

    Oh, and Guy before me, Omega is the oposite of Alpha?

  5. Alpha is a Greek letter and Taekwon Do is a Korean martial art... don't see the correlation.
