By this I mean a break down of the amount difference between invoice and MSRP amounts. I believe destination fee is not included in MSRP.

  1. The MSRP consists of everything the factory built into the car, including destination.  Invoice is a percetage less.

  2. The MSRP of a vehicle does ''not" include taxes, registration, transportation to the dealership and other miscellaneous fees.

MSRP stands for Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, and means just that —- a suggested selling price for the retailer.

MSRP originated as a method of standardization and fair trade to protect small businesses and consumers alike. Prior to laws that enacted MSRPs, retailers were free to charge wildly different prices for the same product —- not just among different outlets, but to different customers at the same outlet.

  3. MSRP is what the manufacturer thinks the dealer should sell the car for..the dealer of course bought the car for alot cheaper..you should never buy a car based at MSRP...i dont really think there is a breakdown..the dealer just sets whatever price they want, to make money
