What does an abandoned game mean in Yahoo Chess?

Do computer restarts and freezes go under this title?

Leaving an unfinished game by being booted,or joining a game to find a player quit or was booted   and you choose not to play and leave counts as abandoning a game.   If the missing player returns and you are booted form their seat it does not count as abandoned game.   In reality they do not mean anything on your overall win/lose ratio
