  1. an agency is who actually provides you with auditions and info on them. they help you get reconized by big directors. NEVER pay money for an agency!!!!!!!! that is the number one rule! you can find local state agencies but the most you shhould EVER have to pay is for head shots!

  2. acting agents can help u out a WHOLE lot. They can get u auditions and parts in shows or movies!

  3. start with classes at school then do plays at shcool build up your resume get experience! then get an agent and if you want to be succesful it will take years of hard work slowly climbing the ladder of success but if you get a chance to do somethign big go for it!

for agents and all the info you need go to actinginfo.blogspot.com and talentagents.blogspot.com for the agent one click table of contents then click city nearest you. read everything on the site

answers wont pop up infront of you so look around and click on the words in blue but not the ones that are double underlined!

  4. A talent agent gets you additions.

  5. They're actually called "talent agents," not "acting agents." Agents submit you for roles in plays, commercials, movies, etc. by sending your photo and resume to casting directors and sometimes calling them to ask if you can audition for them.

Some actors send their photos and resumes directly to casting directors, producers, etc. instead of going through an agent. However, you are more likely to get an audition through an agent submission than through a self-submission because the agent is likely to already have a professional relationship with the casting director. It's better to have an agent vouch for you than to approach the casting director as a completely unknown actor.

Don't pay $20 to get addresses. You can buy Ross Reports for less than $10, and it'll have the addresses of good, legitimate agents and casting directors.
