What does an environmentalist do?

What is the job of an environmentalist?I have been wanting to know about this because I would really like to take up this job.Please do help me if you can.Thanks alot :)

If you don't know what it is, why would you want to do it?  An environmentalist isn't a job, it is more like a religion.  It is something you do outside of your job unless you are a paid lobbyist or possibly a biologist for an environmental group.

You become an environmentalist just by saying you are one.  You support the environment.  That's about it.

Environmentalists are people who are advocates of environmentalism,a broad philosophy and social movement centered on a concern for the conservation and improvement of the natural environment, both for its own sake as well as its importance to civilization.
