What does an owl in a dream mean?

i had a dream last night that my mother, sister, and i were in our car driving through a slightly wooded area, perhaps a highway? it was daylight and we were talking when an owl (which was HUGE) came into view and flew through the two open windows in the back of the car. i remember saying how strange it was that we saw the owl in the daylight, and for it to get that close to us.

now, for a bit of background, my family is in a crisis right now. my parents are going through a nasty divorce, funds are tight/nonexistent which makes the likelihood of me going to college this semester very small, and i am currently afraid of a pregnancy. last night my mother and i had a discussion about everything, including how my pregnancy scare might just be that- a scare and nothing more.

anyway, does anyone know that this dream might mean? any responses are appreciated! thanks!

Well, my dream knowledge is particularly limited, but I would assume that the owl would point to unexpected wisdom.

My reasoning for that is the fact that the owl is a standard symbol for wisdom and it came upon you rather suddenly in a time when you would least expect it.
