What does an "A first level degree "mean?

Question

It means a degree with first class(ie-above 60%) or your first degree??????

hmmm its a bit confusing. but im guessing the "level" in the a "first level degree" would make it to mean a first class degree. if it just said first degree then i guess that is all it would mean.
