Do not ask what the animals can give you, but ask what you can give to the animals lol

Basically, every species (including plants) play a role in the food chain. They all maintain the stability of the number of individuals of each species. Each species also affect the world chemically. For example, big predator fish such as marlin, tuna, etc. eat smaller fish like pilchards, anchovies (the ones that are called sardines when canned). The 'sardines' themselves absorbs specific kind of toxic gases from the air. When the number of the bigger fish rise, the 'sardines' become less common, which means the toxic gases become abundant in the air.

Other simpler examples might include as people's companion (dogs and several other domesticated animals), for saving people's life (dogs, again), for scientific researches that people don't care about, but actually affect your life directly (medical, etc.).

Nowadays, there are a technology called biomimetic, which means studying animal's special characteristics to be applied to machines. Pro swimmer's swimsuits' surface are based on shark skin, which has special characteristic to burst through water more efficiently. Gecko feet are also studied and applied to machines, so that smaller machines will have the ability to walk on wall, and might be used for rescuing people (if a building is on fire, for example).

And the other use is for entertainment. People use animal in circuses (even though I don't really agree on this, but I think that's okay). Most people also consider birding or diving as interesting activity, seeing other living creatures besides human in non-urban places. It's very relaxing and refreshing ;)

It's not in the least obvious what that question is supposed to be asking.  Rephrasing it, or providing more clues, would be a good idea.  It could be referring to anatomy, agriculture, food and other products, domestic animals in general or various other things.
