What does anyone suggest i do for a fund raiser?

at our school we are doing an aids walk in may. we want to raise money as a school to donate to the aids foundation. our clubs individually will do fundraisers to raise money. problem is, i have no idea what to do to raise money.

does anyone have any idea...?

Ok, here's a no-brainer, easy to do, and will bring in hundreds of dollars.  Sell paper airplanes for whatever amount you decide on.  On one side write up your benefit and leave space for the buyer to write their name and phone number.  Instructions are that these planes are to be flown during a certain evening event (basketball game, for example,) and the buyer need not be present to win although his plane can go to the event with anyone or left with the sellerf.  You want to sell to parents and townspeople besides students, so sell them at the mall and before the big game.  These paper airplanes are to be brought to a school function (basketball game, baseball, whatever, and at some point, like half-time in football) everyone can sail their plane toward a banner on the field which your committee makes to raise Aids awareness.   The airplane landing closest to the banner wins the big prize  (whatever you can get donated....TV would be nice., money OK.  Several smaller prizes would be fun too.)  You could have the cheerleaders or some other fun group sail the planes from the high point in the bleachers for those people who bought planes but are unable to be at the event.  This idea is from a little book called Shaking the New Money Tree.  Unfortunately the book is no longer being published and I lent my copy to someone and it never came back. You might think about how to clean these up; perhaps give candy bars or free drink coupons at the food stands to all the little kids who collect 25 airplanes immediately following the event.
