  1. should be relegated and cas will never beat while they have a hole in there bum

  2. Saints were hostage to the RFL's late decision to include last year's mid-season international.  This triggered bonus payments to players that couldn't have been anticipated at the beginning of the season.

The bigger concern is how the RFL didn't consider the potential implications of this and didn't brief clubs appropriately.

But the biggest concern of this entire cluster(mess-up) is how the RFL didn't alter its own by-laws after the vote by SL clubs last year, thus allowing clubs to be sanctioned by the softer levels of last year rather than the levels of 4, 8 or 12 points.

  3. RUGBY sucks.American football is the way to go. YEAH

  4. I think the salary cap was brought in to stop clubs  "doing a football" and buying the best players, making themselves bankrupt in the process (look at Leeds united as an example).

With so few clubs in the top flight (there should be more than 12 IMHO) the league wanted to make sure that the clubs could keep paying their own way without any emergency funding from the league to keep them afloat and introduced the 20-20 rule which then was changed into the salary cap, limiting overseas players at the same time as they usually want a bigger pay cheque.

Mainly it was just the league looking out for itself, while keeping the competition going.

  5. relegate the cheating sods.otherwise superleague will wind up like the scottish premiership.if you're gonna fine them then hit them so hard they won't ever do it again.

  6. What has this question got to do with " Rugby".

It is a "Rugby League" question, they are  two different games.

  7. Does seem that there is a real lack of committment to punishing clubs who breach the rules, but symptomatic of what seems to be the way the sport is handled by it's administrators as a whole.

That said it's still the best value for money sport to watch, so much more entertaining than football - and I'm a Salford fan!!!

  8. its about time the RFL came down strong on the culprits that are making a mockery of it.

saints, wigan and bradford have all been guilty in the past of breaking the cap and have more or less got away with it again.

the salary cap was introduced to give every club a fair crack at signing the best players, but if certain clubs continue to disregard the cap whats the point of having it? and also the paltry fines and points deductions mean nothing to these rich clubs so its not really a punishment and its not going to act as a deterrent for them not to it again!
