Its is a medium sized military installation in the Nevada desert were they develop and test modern stealth aircraft.

They tested such planes as the U-2, SR-71 BLACKBIRD, stealth bomber, and stealth fighter.

It came into mainstream view in the 1950s when a farmer reported a crash on his farm, his farm was was covered with metallic debris. He described the metal as bendable but not breakable. He notified the local authorities and military.

The reason WHY aliens are involved is because the local newspaper said the RAF had uncovered a flying saucer. The next day the story was changed to a weather balloon. Theres both great amounts of evidence for and against AREA-51.

Also to other posters responses about government denying it exist. The government denies it operates a facility called area-51, because it doesn't. Just cause its called area-51 by Ufologist or common people doesn't mean its actually called area-51....
