I think he is a fantastic athlete that has proven himself big time to the world.  He is very modest for someone of his calibre not like many of the other yanks.

My friends and I think that he's got a really hot bod and that he's a total LEGEND in swimming.

The rest of the people I know (apart from this one woman who thinks he's on drugs - AS IF) respect him and just go 'WHOA. He is reaaaally something special.'

Just because we're America's opponents, doesn't mean we don't like him =) I think that everyone can respect and look up to a guy that amazing at his chosen sport (even though it's kinda disappointing that he beats out swimmers).

EDIT: But I still like Eamon Sullivan more =)

being from australia i have to say he seems like a great guy, kind of cocky but thats abit of a good thing when it comes to swimming. Grant Hackett is still God in the down under, even thought he got silver 2day

They probably hate him cuz he just kickd their butts LOL!! Nah just kiddn probably are awestruck about how someone can get eight gold medals in swimming at these olympic games. Healthy competition LOL!!
