  1. Audio/Video. You can hook up an external device to it, like a DVD player, VCR or gaming console, and when AV is selected instead of TV, the picture from that device is displayed.


  2. AV, or A/V means Audio/Video. On the front and/or back of your TV you may see "AV" or "AV1, AV2..etc." when you press this button in the top left or right hand corner of your TV, it should display a name, such as "AV1" or "Video 1." These correspond to the jacks in the back I talked about earlier. Whatever that is plugged into those jacks, should be displayed on your TV screen.
