  1. audio/video

  2. audio/video He's right.

  3. It is a poor mans way to connect sound to a really cheap and nasty Home Theatre System

  4. It's an OUTPUT connection from your TV tuner, so you can use it on your VCR's INPUT for recording what you're watching....

It's a Worthless Design....considering the fact that VCRs have their own tuner and are presently obsolete...

We still see some  used for audio amplifiers.....but most people are directly connecting the DVD and Cable boxes DIRECTLY into the amps using the DOLBY Optical Cables or the Digital Coax connections....it's much easier.

  5. audio/video...its the yellow red and white plugs

  6. audio video jacks, which are the colored yellow, white, and red plugs found on your TV, stereo, dvd player, ect. They are used to connect accessery, like a video camera or a record devise.

  7. The audio and video from either from your tuner of the TV /from other AV in sockets of the TV will come out from this socket.

This goes directly to other 'AV in' sockets of other equipments like DVD recorder. Audio alone can be given to audio amplifier through it's respective audio in socket.

  8. It means audio video out

The signal comes out of that jack and then can be plugged into a vcr or other device.

  9. Audio-Video. For more info, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AV

  10. audio/video, you know the whole yellow red and white cables that come with a dvd player for example, well those cables plug into what is known as the audio/viodeo connection, therefore in short A/V
