  1. Nathan Y is sort of right, I am a former chef and worked in Japan and still use them now occasionally, they have a bit of an earthy taste, if cooked sweet a bit of nutty almost peanut butter flavour and texture, think of PBJ and the P being a bit chunky and coarse.

I use them for protein shakes as like with chickpeas they are fine for diabetics, I one and a lacto-ovo vegetarian at the time, I cook them down and make a paste for the base in my soya milk protein shakes with wheat germ, flax, rice bran oil and yougart, add in some fruit and they are packed with protein, the snack your speaking of is quite nice, I use have them quite often, so give them a try, it maybe something you love or like, maybe not, but it will not hurst to try, you never know???

  2. it has a unique taste so hard to describe.... umm it has a sorta nutty flavour, its sweet, and has no comparable flavour to green beans or runner beans.

anyways go ahead and try it, its really nice =))

  3. I rather like it, my boyfriend doesn't.

  4. It has a sort of paste-ey texture and is overall very sweet. There is a hint of cinamonney-ness to it, although it has no cinnamon at all. Try it! :)
