What does backorder mean?

Sorry about the simpleness of this question but there was a game that cameout yesterday that i want to get and i checked all of our local stores websites and it says all of them were 'Backordered'. Can someone please tell me what that means?

They don't have it in stock atm. Just check in with the stores every day (or however often you would want to) to see when they would get their shipment in.

That means the store doesn't have it in stock and that they order it from their warehouse or wherever, and ship it to you when they get it.

it means that the stores have run out of stock in that game and it means that as soon as more arrive thy will b prioritized to people who have ordered them before the release of the game, and so means there will b very few consumer buyable products as most will have been sold before the game was brought out, that means if uv ordered and bought it all u have to do is go and pick it up.

so sorry but ur gonna have to wait a couple of weeks....

Backorder pretty much means that they dont have the item in stock...but you can still order it and when they get another shippment they will send you one.

Backorder- a business order yet to be fulfilled because stock is unavailable
