What does beer taste like?

i am 26 and never had a sip of beer and i was wondering what it tastes like i am going out and my friends all think i am a whimp and soft

It tastes a bit like a savory soda pop.  It has the same bubble texture as soda but a different flavor.    It can be kind of bitter if you aren't used to the flavor.

Who cares if your friends think you are a wimp and soft?  They are just justifying their drinking by making you feel bad for not drinking.  Good for you for making it so far without having a beer.
