  3. Bevelled usually means at an angle. When a piece of furniture has a bevelled edge its edge is finished off with a gentle slope and not a straight drop.  You could also think of it as a like a kerb on the side of a road. Some kerbs rise directly from the road, others are bevelled ie you could drive your car up the slope of them.
