  2. "Bore" is the diameter of the hole the cylinder fits into.  Or, if used in the sentence, like "running at full bore", it would mean, running at top speed.

  3. A bore is the size of hole the piston goes in . you can also have a big bore exhaust, that is an exhaust with a big hole. Some say a big bore exhaust makes the car go faster.

  4. In car terms the bore is the diameter of the cylinder that the pistons fit into, that diameter can be made larger by "boring" it out. In other words the bore is the diameter of a hole or cylinder, to "bore" would be actually making the hole or making it bigger.
