  1. Well....????? I'm confused. Project for gold? OK... a by-product is for example a result of what you get from a reaction.

    For example... CO2 is a by-product of your car engine running (conbustion). Or O2 is a by-product of the photosenthesys reaction inside a tree leaf.

  2. a byproduct is something that is an unintended but unavoidable result of producing your main product.  The byproduct could be useful or not.  For instance, gold is usually found in combination with either copper, brass, silver, or platinum.  When the gold is refined, you also refine the other metal and you have a byproduct of silver, e.g.
