  2. Camels are basically browsers; ie eat leaves and foliage, but will eat whatever else is tastier.

    Their hump is a reservior of fats, so they can go long periods on little or no water. Their feet are pads, so they can walk over sandy ground without getting bogged. In Australia they live in the Centre and Northern parts. Reputedly more in Australia that the Arabic countries, and a b----y pest.

    Dunno what the young are called - calves I think - But the meat is nice and tasty (quite lean).
