  1. Castration or gelding is the surgical removal of testicles.  This renders a gelding unable to breed.  The procedure has several goals.  Yearling or two year old gelding can enhance physical development of thoroughbreds in training.  Generally the gelded male thoroughbred becomes less aggressive and therefore easier to manage. Less valuable thoroughbreds in bloodline, conformation, and or performance are not breeding prospects.

Geldings can be safely turned out into pasture with other geldings and mares.  Stallions are an added expense. Stallions must be kept separate from other thoroughbreds.

  2. Castrating a horse means gelding it--making it unable to have little baby horsies.

Covering means like 'covering' a mare--doing it with a female in order to have a foal.

  3. No more nukky for him

    nuts out

  4. hmm, I guess you do not Neuter horses.

But anyway, castrate is the same as neuter

  5. to make a stallion a gelding! by going snip snip to his manly parts... and make him unable to produce a foal when bred to a mare.

  6. Don't mean to be crude...but it means that you are going to chop his nuts off....so he can't breed. In real life, it usually calms down the horse (less hormones). On the game, it just gives the howrse more skills or something. The downside is, he can never have babies. =(

  7. *snip, snip*

  8. To castrate means to neuter, or geld a stallion.

To offer a covering means you offer breeding services by the stallion.
